Built between the second half of the 13th century and early 14TH century, the Tower of Vilar is a symbol of Lordly power over the territory and proof of the existence of a "domus fortis", a fortified manor house in Vale do Sousa. It is a five-story building with granite Ashlar. The lighting of this tower was made through loopholes of the Romanesque style and access through an arch with tympanum. Underwent restoration between 2005 and 2006 as part of the Route of the Romanesque of the Sousa Valley.

Opened to the public in 1949 and closed in the 80, the Teatro Municipal de Vila do Conde has been recently recovered and includes a capacity of about 800 places, provided with all conditions of comfort for the spectators. There is also a rehearsal room, a bar in support of various support services and equipment to the activity, including foyers and dressing rooms. All the rooms are endowed with régie with analog film projection equipment and digital video and sound and light production unit.

Overlooking the so-called “Terras da Costa”, the approximately 13 km of this area of protected landscape, between Cova do Vapor (Costa da Caparica) and Lagoa de Albufeira, are a set of beautiful erosion forms, with high geological and paleontological interest. There, traces of living beings can be found, namely of plant origin. In areas adjacent to the cliff (pine forests of Medos and Aroeira) we can find some typical flora of the area.

Located to the northeast of Montalegre, it belongs to the Old Massif. It measures 10 km and it is the second highest mountain in Portugal, with its peak at an altitude of 1527 metres, at the Fonte da Pipa (Barrel Fountain). From the top, one views the Lima, Tâmega, Cávado and Rabagão valleys, as well as several villages and the small town of Montalegre. Besides the landscapes, there are also horses and one can do mountain sports, such as hang gliding, paragliding, climbing and walks.

The approximate 175 km of the Lima river (67 km in Portugal) end in the beautiful city of Viana do Castelo, with the Santa Luzia belvedere well on the top. Its mouth is also a boating area of extreme importance in the North of Portugal and in Galicia. We can find two recreational docks (one upstream and another downstream of the train bridge). Further ahead, the commercial port, the fishing port and the shipyards mark the transition to the Atlantic Ocean with a wharf.

A famed beach, with lovely sceneries and good conditions. When one arrives in Foz do Arelho, one is most surprised by the meeting of the Óbidos lagoon and the ocean. One may then choose between the turbulent Atlantic waters and the tranquility of the lagoon, excellent for the children. Uniquely beautiful, it is the ideal spot for boat or canoe rides, for fishing and for practising water sports - there is a sailing school and a widsurfing school. There are several restaurants, lots of liveliness at night and street shops.

O antigo restaurante Quinta dos Frades, deu lugar ao VOLVER – um restaurante de Carne y Alma. A carne é na parrilla, grelhada à boa maneira argentina. E a alma remete para o que de melhor se fez nos últimos anos: o polvo 'à oaxaca', o 'wellington's back!', o pato crocante, o chackburguer e o risotto.

A gastronomia tradicional portuguesa encontra novas formas de preparação, resultado da mistura com diversos sabores. Os almoços incluem um buffet, servido num espaço amplo e acolhedor. Os doces giram essencialmente à volta do leite, o ingrediente mais à mão, com o qual se faziam os bolos de leite, o arroz-doce, as papas-de-milho.

Um italiano puro, do renomado chef Sergio Crivelli, a servir boas pizzas em forno de lenha, pastas frescas, risottos e escalopinas. Não deixe de provar as sobremesas caseiras e para acabar um bom caffé de Nápoles e um Limoncello caseiro. Dispõe de uma interessante ementa apta para celíacos, sendo certificado pela Associação Portuguesa de Celíacos.
