As angulas são pequenas enguias que se capturam muito novas no rio Minho e também na ria de Aveiro. Segundo a tradição, para ficarem bem confecionadas passam por apurado processo. Devem ser afogadas três vezes: primeira em água, depois em gordura e finalmente em vinho.

Fundado em 2015 na Rua do Salitre, em Lisboa, e inspirado nos bares clandestinos que surgiram nos EUA nos anos 20, durante a Lei Seca, o Red Frog abriu depois, em 2021, na Praça da Alegria. O menu de cocktails é desenvolvido sazonalmente.

This small village, located at the Mancelos parish, is known for the battle that took place during the French invasions of the early 19th century. It has interesting rural houses. In fact, it still has the house with a tower and battlements, medieval in origin, where the artist Amadeo de Souza Cardoso was born. The set is composed of the house, the cellar, the church with tiles and the painter's workshop.

Artist's House was once the home of largest souto da Vila de GOIs. The ancient Mayan farm solar was deep object recovery works and transformed into a modern Auditorium. The shops at the ground floor give the space art galleries today. Already the top-floor rooms, serve as temporary residence of artists. The attic was adapted and works as artistic atelier.

This House is on the premises of the Junta de Freguesia do Coentral since 2002, since this was the House where he was born, in 1835, d. Manuel Agostinho Barreto, Bishop of Funchal. Here you can find the booty and the whole history of the Morris dancers of Neveiros Coentral and to its founder, Herlander Machado, in 1964, and various tributes paid to castanheirenses, their customs and to their homes.

Until April 2005 the Municipal Library Florbela Espanca was located in the Palacete de Trevões (Trevões Manor). On May 2005 it moved to a new building, by the architect Alcino Soutinho, that has a reading room with papers and magazines, an adults room/local fund, infantole and juvenile, audiovisual; some books may be borrowed and there are photocopies, internet access, reading animation and library.
