With a great architectonical simplicity, the Almas chapel dates from the beginning of the XVIII, and was repaired and enlarged in 1801. In 1929, the façades were covered with azulejos, by Eduardo Leite, representing the life of São Francisco de Assis and of Santa Catarina. The main façade presents a glass window by the painter Amândio Silva. Inside, the panel painted by Joaquim Rafael, representing the Lord’s Ascension and the image of Nossa Senhora das Almas stand out.

This is the best-known dish in the local gastronomic culture. Vegetables, pork and beef sausages are placed in a pan and placed in the heat of the boilers for around six hours. Then just dig out the pot and enjoy. At Lagoa das Furnas, as long as you show up early, you can cook your own stew, with the help of a person responsible for the Furnas Parish Council. Otherwise, the various restaurants in the surrounding area offer this delicacy.

O Folar de Chaves é tradicionalmente o pão da Páscoa, confecionado na base de água, sal, ovos e farinha de trigo. A forma, o conteúdo e a própria confeção varia de região para região. Em Chaves é recheado com carne de porco e de vitela, presunto, salpicão, linguiça, entre outros ingredientes possíveis.

The Municipal Museum of Coruche aims to promote the cultural development of the population and make its history known. There are long-term, temporary and itinerant exhibitions, essentially composed of archaeological and ethnographic remains. The Museum also maintains a collection of school material, measurement and bullfighting collection, in addition to four funds: the Margarida Ribeiro Fund, the Monte da Barca Fund, the Armando Lizardo Fund and the Funfo FotoCine, with around 200 thousand negatives.

The former Misericórdia Church of Mértola houses the first municipal museum of sacred art. This space, known as Porta da Ribeira, presents a unique collection of images and liturgical artefacts from hermitages and chapels of popular worship. Here, the different nuances of humanity's relationship with various references to the sacred are reconstructed, with the exhibition of sacred art from the 14th to 18th centuries, liturgical artefacts, including chalices and processional crosses, and painted tablets.

Casa da Fonte integrates a set of farmhouses recovered for Rural tourism. This Centennial House is composed by a room with bathroom, living room with tiled stove and kitchen with wood-burning oven, TV, games, stereo, two libraries and the cricket field. The exterior has a vast landscaped terrain and has BBQ place. Upon arrival, the visitor is received with a MIME: bread, home-made jams, drinks, fruit, butter and cheese.

Fort located at the foot of Serra da Arrábida. Its tower is dated from 1390. In 1572 it suffered enlarging works and was completely remodelled after the Restoration War. The chapel, covered with glazed tiles from the XVIII century, is worthy of notice. In the XIX century it was a prison and later the holydays residence of King D.Carlos and Queen D. Amélia. In 1909; it became a hospital for orthopaedic diseases and maintains its function until today.

Building designed by engineer Adriano da Silva Monteiro (1846-1925), with neoclassical traits, of remarkable Italian theatrical architecture, having been opened in 1892. In the living room of spectacle stands out the ceiling, by António Ramalho, with an allegory alluding to the themes of tragedy and comedy, where, among other things, is part of the name of Garcia de Resende. In addition to work as show room, it also has a school of theatrical training.

Manueline building where stands out the gate assigned to Marcos Pires, the triumphal arch and the vault of the chancel of Diogo de Castilho. The altarpiece of the main Chapel, triptych, presents in the center pane Nossa Senhora da Graça on the side panels and the conversion of St Paul and the fall of Simon Magus, representing the primitive Portuguese painting. Note also the altars with 16th century paintings and tiles from the 17th and 18th centuries.

A national monument of Gothic origin, it was rebuilt in 1600 in the Mannerist style after a fire destroyed the original structure. Inside, the Manueline tomb of João Afonso, founder of the city's old hospital, and the Gothic tomb of Fernão Rodrigues Redondo are also classified as national monuments. Also noteworthy are the two paintings by Bento Coelho da Silveira. The church, which includes the Chapel of St. Peter, has a 19th-century pipe organ.
