This church has a rather simple white façade with blue finishing. The inside is entirely covered with murals representing Santiago’s life and its miracles. Aimed at the inhabitants of Rio de Moinhose it still possesses the former Calvary, a piece of work from the end of the XIII century.

Baroque church from the Josephite period. Notable features include the gilded altarpiece in the chancel and the Baroque-Rococo tile panels depicting the Last Supper and the Washing of the Feet, by Policarpo de Oliveira Bernardes. It underwent extensive remodeling during the reign of King John V.

Erected in the late 16th century, in Renaissance style, this church with the participation of architects vimaranenses Gonçalo Lopes and João Lopes de Amorim. We highlight the main altarpiece, dating from the late 18th century and organ cases with risk of Fr. José António Vilaça.

The earliest documentary reference 1079 date from the mid-12TH century belonged to the Canons of Saint Augustine. The Church preserves Romanesque construction elements as the arcades of the western façade. Is to highlight the amount of epigraphs and chests for coffin that can be dated between the 11TH and 14th centuries.

Of the ancient walls there are only left the Gate of Portugal, the Gate of the Postigo and the remannts of old courtiers. It is said that Dom Sebastião was present at a field mass before going to the battle of Alcácer Quibir and that he saw it from a manuelin window one can still see on the walls.

This street, dated from 1844, was very hard to build because of the granite existent there. It connects the Cordoaria Garden with the Cais de Massarelos, going through the picturesque Largo do Viriato. In the middle of the way you may enjoy the beautiful view over the Douro River.

The Porto’s Bishop's Palace is a building from the XVIII century, by Nicolau Nasoni. The construction is elegant, with three big floors. The downstairs floor has twelve windows with iron bars and the number of windows repeats on the other floors. Laterally, the windows have frames with showy frontons.

This pillory was built in 1937 in the same place where it used to exist a former pillory. It has three square steps, a column with a square shaft and a capital with a cube where it is possible to see the Coat of Arms from Portugal, Forlgosinho, one armillary sphere and the Cross of Christ.

Bridge probably built during the Roman era, integrating the axis that connected Mérida to Viseu. After being damaged by floods from 1565, was reconstructed in 1573. In 1817 was again rebuilt, lasting construction to this day. Features five perfect round arches and a trestle on the tops.

An elegant towe that stands out from the rest of the walls. It has vigilance posts in the angles and a cistern inside. A special note to the ogival window of the southern façade. The gazebo with battlements offers a beautiful panoramic view of the mountains of Nogueira, Coroa and Montesinho and, to the north, of the Sanabria peaks.
