Restaurant opened in 2011, situated right on the seafront, serving Portuguese specialties. Berrio's name comes from one of the caravels of Vasco da Gama's expedition who discovered the sea route to India, being the theme of the restaurant the Portuguese discoveries.

A restaurant located by the Lima river. It specializes in regional dishes. It has a rustic atmosphere and a friendly service. The lamprey and the shellfish are quite askeed for. It also organizes events. Its name comes from the water mill by the restaurant, at the mouth of the Vade river.

A baroque palace with two floors, a long façade in a straight line, an axis with a balcony door and window sided by acanthus foliage convolutions. One should pay attention to the architrave balconies with forged iron adornations and, in its interior the interconnected rooms. In one of them there is a painted coat of arms on the coverture.

16th century building, profoundly altered in the 18th century. Of the primitive construction, in the Manueline-Mudejar style, only the vaults, the doors of the ground floor dependencies and the cloister are preserved. Inside there are several paintings, with emphasis on the 15th century frescoes representing the capture of Azamor. Pay attention also to the furniture and tapestries.

The Grocery, fish restaurant in Caxias has, of course, the supply of fresh fish as a main attraction. Atlantic Emperor, sea bass and grouper are part of the offer, as well as shellfish and Octopus the mill owner. Presents several meat specialities like the loaf in the stone, the roast duck in the oven (Saturdays) and the Cozido à portuguesa (Sundays). Before sitting in the Interior rooms or on the covered terrace, take a look at the offers of the day display cases are dedicated to fish and meat.

The original building was virtually destroyed by the corsair Francis Drake. Rebuilt in the 17th century, it was again damaged by the 1755 earthquake. This fortress consists of the ruins of several sections of 17th-century walls. Inside, there are some restored military structures that retain their original architectural design, as well as the Chapel of Santa Catarina, built by Infante D. Henrique.

Commissioned by Governor Duarte Sodré Pereira to defend that anchorage, this small fort was built in the early 20th century to replace an earlier 16th-century fortification dedicated to Saint Sebastian, which had been destroyed by a strong alluvial flood in 1803. It is a circular tower with a revivalist design, retaining the original Baroque inscription and coat of arms.

The original church, likely founded in the 16th century, was destroyed by fire in 1639. Years later, in the 17th century, a new church was built in a location less exposed to the force of the sea. In 1757, it suffered significant damage from the "Mandado de Deus" earthquake, in 1945 from a major tidal surge, and in 1980, from another earthquake.

The Teatro Sá da Bandeira-initially-circus Theatre and, later, the Theatre Royal Prince-was inaugurated on August 4, 1855, being then a wooden shack. In 1867, would later be destroyed in order to build, at the same venue, a theatre of stone and lime, a week after the implantation of the Republic, in 1910, was renamed Teatro Sá da Bandeira.

Former enclosed field of a farm with a convent that the earthquake destroyed. Nowadays it is a set of gardens and preserve, rich in exotic vegetation. The Casa do Regalo with the lakes, greenhouses, Virtues statue and the bust of Dom João V stands out. Integrated in this area is the Palácio das Necessidades, classified as Public Interest Monument and where the Foreign Office is set.
