The only covered area open to the public allows, in its 1187 hectares of forest, contact with countless animal species. The Cerco garden surrounds the building, covering an area of 8 hectares, and works as a transition element between the monument and Tapada de Mafra. The central pond, the water wheel and the small lakes are worth mentioning.

Square-shaped castle surrounded by a moat and two cylindrical turrets. Access is via a classic Roman doorway. It is a rare example in the panorama of Portuguese military architecture, with the medieval fence, towers and doors coexisting with the Renaissance fortification. The Alcáçova dos Duques de Bragança stands out, with rooms with marble columns and ribbed vaults.

Solar plan Z, the Tower House, composed of bodies dating back to different eras, arranged around a 16th century tower. It was built in the 16th century, belonging to Dona Catarina Fagundes, daughter of the natural Navigator of Viana do Castelo, João Álvares Fagundes. He currently works as turismo de habitação.

Franciscan convent founded in 1603 by Leonardo de Campos and follows the typology of this type of convent. For this reason and the interior treasures it contains, it is given great heritage value. Inside, the tiles with a 17th century pattern stand out, as well as the altarpieces and tombstones from the end of the 18th century. It currently operates as a mercy hospital and pharmacy.

The typical crockery of the municipality of Lagoa originally comes from Vila Nova de Gaia and was introduced to the islands in 1862 by Bernardino da Silva. Nowadays, in the museum nucleus, some of the main pieces produced are on display. The typical blue color remains evident in all the pieces, still produced today using the artisanal method.

The Museum of smuggling is a small museum structure you want, above all, to perpetuate the memory of the smuggling activity in this territory raiano. Installed in the former Fiscal guard post Santana de Cambas, intends to function as place of registration and evocation of the memories of all those who have made the smuggling activity of survival of the community.

At the core of the Holy Martyr, in the Church of the Holy Martyr Saint Sebastian, in Vila Franca de Xira lies the exhibition "art and Devotion-Forms and Perspectives", dedicated to sacred art. This exhibition, based on the concept of annual turnover of parts, enables the public to the enjoyment of a diversity of remaining goods that would otherwise be out of the public domain.

Situated in the middle of the Serra de Montemuro, the newly classified village of Portugal Supporters, field and inaugurated in August 2010, Villa Ares of Montemuro combines the comfort and privacy of home to the accuracy and the quality of the tourist offer, fully integrated into the surrounding landscape. The original circuit was fully respected and the reconstruction was based on traditional techniques and materials.
