The pedestrian Route of Sant ' Águeda, the first Small route Route registered and approved by the Portuguese Federation of camping and mountaineering in the municipality of Alvito. With beginning and end in Republic square of Vila Nova da Baronia, the route of Sant ' Águeda is a circular path about seven kilometers, which has as its main marks the passage by the Hermitage of Santa Águeda.

Located on Monte de Santa Luzia, once a stage for mineral exploration, the Quartzo Museum aims to be an interactive space for exploring the geological and natural heritage of the region, being the only museum in the world to dedicate itself exclusively to a mineral. With a strong pedagogical aspect, it allows visitors of different age groups to carry out experiences related to geology and mineralogy.

This Convent was donated to the Canons regular of Augustinian Rule was sacred on the 16th century after some renovations. In 1562 it started to belong to the friars from Santa Cruz de Coimbra convent and was extinguished in 1770. This construction is under the renaissance style and it has some important features from it, such as the church, the Monastery house and all the land inside of the fence.

The House of Segude has a lovely garden with a circle shape and a fountain with a drawing of Our Lady of Santa Luzia on tiles. Even though nobody lives there, its main activity is agriculture, which is divided into wine and fruit production.

The longest river that rises and flows into the national territory (232 km) meets the sea in the city of Figueira da Foz, a fishing port and also a place for beaches, casino and tourism. The final section of the Mondego River runs between rice paddies, to finally meet the Atlantic Ocean. The river is "defended" on the right bank by the Santa Catarina Fort.
