A true Alentejo oasis surrounded by an extensive stretch of light-colored sand, with a dune system of great scenic and environmental interest. It has quality restaurants serving typical Alentejo dishes.
A beach with excellent conditions but little attended because it is located in the southwest extrenme of the island.It has a large area of fine sand and clear waters.
Access to this beach is only possible by Jeep or on foot. It is located about four kilometers from the national highway, being a beach practically deserted.
As one follows the road that leads to Ponta da Piedade, one encounters this beautiful, small beach, located on a hillside and much attended by tourists. The existing restaurants are located by the entrance to the beach. Once there was a fortress there, but it is currently totally destroyed.
A beach located on a hill, pleasant and with good quality water. There are restaurants of relativ quality there with high prices. The Pintadinho Beach is the first maritime beach in the parish of Lagoa, right after the mouth of the Arade river. A stone and cement wall ending in a small lighthouse separates the river and the sea and belongs both to the Pintadinho Beach and to the Molhe Beach. One may get to the beach by following the river course to its mouth or by a rather steep cliff.
A small rocky beach, attended mostly by fishermen and by families who enjoy the calm sea. It is also fit for diving, even though there is no vigilance.
