Baroque fountain built in 1729, to present a 17th century portico around. The basin is cupped and, at the top, is a label involved in broad leaved garlands with ornaments, flowers and fruits.

Bronze statue rose to pay homage to Joaquim António de Aguiar, Portuguese statesman (1792-1875), at the Largo da Portagem (in a garden centre).

The imposing Old Se is raised at the square centre and, around it are several XVII, XVIII and XIX century constructions. It is the place where traditionally takes place the students’ serenade which marks the beginning of the Queima das Fitas (traditional students’ weekly party).
