Casa da Torre, located at the foot of the serra da Cabreira, in the village of Abadim, illustrates the beauty typical of the Minho region. The traces of the building is unique, all of it built in granite. Is in fact the reference object in several books and articles on the built heritage of this region. Here benefits from the tranquility of the countryside and of the mountain. To breathe fresh air and perform physical exercise, nothing like walk by footpaths in the area.

The Sea restaurant in sight, in Ericeira, is located next to the beach of fishermen and, despite its name, little or nothing can be seen of this small house, with capacity of ten tables. Here, the seafood are the bane of customers, since the eyes has a wide range of choices, from clams to lobsters, the spools, barnacles, prawns, shrimp and lobsters. A feast that can be completed with rice, Masada, feijoada, Acorda or the seafood cataplana.

These ruins are all that is left from an Arab fortress which was used to defend Lagos bay. The castle was conquer in 1189 by D. Sancho I but later returned to the Arabs power and afterwards, in 1250 D. Afonso III reconquested it. These are the remains after the destruction provoked by the 1755 earthquake.

Baroque building built in the 16th century, consisting of a plant irregular longitudinal and several bodies. Initially, functioned as a school and later as a hospital and, currently, as a Museum and as a dependency of the Faculty of letters.

Of the wall, built during the reign of King Dinis, the main section remains, defended by eleven turrets. The fortress, currently in ruins, already existing during the reign of D. Sancho I, has a rectangular plan and is protected by two towers. The Santarém and Sol gates are in good condition; The Angel Gate has some weaknesses and the location of the Évora gate and tower is unknown.

This building, where I ran the old Municipal Town Hall and jail, receives, currently, several cultural and recreational initiatives.

Funerary monument consisting of a round arch in carved stonework. According to legend this memorial is on the Santa Mafalda, daughter of Sancho I.

A medieval church that has a façade of the 18th century with pillars topped by pinnacles. It i sided by a bell tower with three floors.

The fountain, a work of the architect Afonso Álvares, was built in the XVI century. It is made of white marble ending with a crown of bronze and eight ajutages. The tradition says these eight ajutages correspond to the eight streets that end in the square.

With an extensive sandy beach flanked by high cliffs, it is a calm beach, despite its proximity to the city. In winter, a thick layer of clay accumulates at the base of the cliff, which the locals say has medicinal properties.
