This is a Mannerist convent with a church in the shape of a Latin cross, a single nave, and a two-story cloister. Due to its characteristics, it fits into the typology of the monumental 17th-century churches of classicist and erudite style in the Porto region. The tilework in the chancel and transept is also from the 17th century, and the main altarpiece is Baroque, in the National Style, with Baroque side altarpieces from the time of King Pedro II, at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. Fortress built in the second half of the 17th century. Initially was the city's gunpowder store (intended for all forts and towers on the island) and used to defend the city from corsair attacks, also functioning as a prison. From the mid-twentieth century, it was handed over to the navy, which installed the Armada Communications Center there.

Although its dating is difficult, it is assumed to have been built during the late Romanesque period, judging by the construction technique, exhibiting a Gothic character due to its trestle-style deck. Formed by a single perfect arch, with the pillars rising directly from the banks (a feature that ensures greater longevity for Romanesque bridges compared to Roman ones) it provides communication between the villages of Bustelo and Boim.

The Teófilo Braga garden, paying homage to the poet, writer and teacher with the same name, is also known by Parada Garden for being the former yard of the quarter parade. The statue paying homage to the feminine popular rebellion of Maria da Fonte, placed in the garden in 1920, is the origin of its other name, besides Campo de Ourique for it is the only one in this area. At the beginning of the decade the garden was recovered, equipped with new fittings and keeping some patrimonial elements. It is a tree area with two lakes and a playground.
