Traces of a fortified settlement located on the right bank of the river Cávado, around the village of Donões, in cabeço flattened. Is visible from different angles and other villages of the surrounding area, as is the case of castro de Mourilhe and castro de Frades. Built amidst cliffs and vegetation, this convent is also known as the Convent of Santa Cruz da Serra or of Cork. A simple, rustic construction, it was founded in 1560 by D.
