This milestone was built in 1844 during the Kingdom of Dona Maria II in order to mark out the former Royal road. It stands out its sphere with a sun watch.

Route departing from s. Martinho de Anta climbs to the plateau of Serra da Azinheira, passes through the medieval cemetery of Touças. Enters the throat, down to the chapel of Sra. da Azinheira, returning to s. Martinho de Anta, where it ends.

This standard is about 3 feet tall, a base with 3 steps, a cross in relief on each side and an armillary sphere on top. In the column is visible the inscription of the date of deployment of the emblems of nationality, with the coat of arms represented on the top of the column in the face corresponding to the entered date.

This fortress was built by Sancho I, having been restored during the reign of King Dinis. The castle remains, at present, the keep with twinned Windows and crowned by battlements polygonal. Over the centuries this site received several fortifications.

This fortress is located by the seashore road and is partially hidden by some woods. It is called "Forte Velho" (Old Fortress) due to the fact that it is the oldest in the region. It was built by Dom Filipe I and enlarged by Dom João IV in 1643.

The Church of Nossa Senhora da Pena is on the right side of Terreiro da Alcáçova. Rebuilt during the reign of King João I, the chancel and portal are in Gothic style and the arch connecting the choir and the nave are in Manueline style.

This blockhouse was built by Theodosius I, at the same time when doing the finishes of the fortress artillery of the Castle. In the 18th century was reinforced by d. João V, a century after having been demolished after the war of restoration.

This is one of the most known Romanic Monasteries. It is rather well conserved with rich sculptures elements and a high crenel tower with a bell which doorway displays in its tympanum an Agnus Dei. The church main doorway has four archivolts, in which the arches are settled in worked capitals being topped by a row of modillions. It has a crenel bell tower to which one enters by a doorway with two archivolts sculpted in low relief. A place where olive oil, wine, and cereal production, small businesses, and pastoralism are prominent. Among its architectural heritage, the most notable monuments are the Roman bridge (a National Monument), the Roman dam, the chapel of St. Sebastian, the chapel of Senhor da Ladeira, the old town hall building, and the jail. Crafts include cork, lace, and oak chairs.

A castle of probable Muslim construction, whose oldest written document mentioning it dates from the reign of King Sancho I, who ordered repairs to be made to the castle. Later, King Manuel I benefited from restoration works, marked by the insertion of the Manueline coat of arms on the castle walls. The alcazaba remains, with machicolations and loopholes protecting the entrance to the enclosure, and inside, a cistern. In the center of the citadel is the keep, with a square plan and a single floor. The walled enclosure, with two gates flanked by towers, completely surrounds the town.
