Opened in April 2009, after 16 months of construction, the Dragon Box Arena is a modern sports complex with a capacity for 2007 viewers (1868 bench seats, 121 in cabins and 18 for the press). Has all conditions for the practice of flag, including handball, basketball and roller hockey, although it also has enough height to volleyball practice. Features some particularities in relation to other similar constructions, such as the Canadian maple wood flooring, the automated elevation of roller hockey tables or external physiognomy readily identifiable from the VCI.

Founded in 1929 by Rafael Salinas Calado, it started out as an annex to the Church of São Pedro. After being transferred to the building of the former headquarters of the Irmandade da Santa Casa da Misericórdia, he would still move again. It is currently installed in the building of the former Convent of Graça, of the Order of Augustine Shoes. The main exhibition is an archaeological and ethnographic show with various pieces extracted from the surroundings. When it was created, in 1945, it was called “Museu de Etnografia e História do Douro Litoral”. Since that time it is placed at the Plácio de São João Novo, dated from the XVIII century. This monument has been suffering a huge degradation, being, in 1989, under the guardianship of the IPPC and, in 1991, of the IPM. Closed to the public since 1992, the IPM has being transferring its collections to various museums. Works in the façade and the coverings of the palace have being made and, after the inventory systematization, the intension is to solve the problem definitively.

The current Palace, with an exotic Oriental plan, was built from an 18th century building that imitated a medieval castle. A possession of the Mello e Castro family, it was rented to Gerard DeVisme at the end of the 18th century, who bulit a neogothic manor. In 1856 it was acquired by Francis Cook, who built a new Oriental palace, with revivalist motifs, a true testimony to the romantic architecture. He also ordered the plantation of the Moserrate Park, that combines exotic and local plants, currently an important botanical museum. Nowadays, one may only visit the gardens.

Francisco Sá Carneiro was a Portuguese politician, founder and leader of the Popular Democratic Party\/Social Democratic Party, and Prime Minister of Portugal, for about eleven months, in the year 1980. Francisco Sá Carneiro died on the night of December 4, 1980, in tragic circumstances and never completely clarified, when the plane in which followed crashed at Camarate, shortly after takeoff from Lisbon Airport, as he headed to the port to take part in a rally in support of the presidential candidate of the Coalition, General António Soares Carneiro.

Building where the XV century Porto’s trade exchange ran. It has the medieval arms of the Casa de Avis, which recall the role of the King Dom João I on the renovation of the present Infante Dom Henrique Street. The building was restored in the reign of Dom Afonso V and became, also, the entrance to the Casa da Moeda (mint), from which you still can see the XVI century door. It was the Crown’s and the morgados de Fermedo property, one of the families that ennobled this important street and business centre of the old town.

The Monastery of São Pedro de Roriz was founded by Lady Unisco Godiniz, in the year 978. Its affiliation with the Benedictine Order dates back to 1902. In the 17th century, notable works were carried out, directed by Frei João Turriano, which results in the current appearance of the monastery. Its interior is rich in gilded carving and reveals traces of one of the most notable carvers of the "Braga school", Frei José de Santo António Ferreira Vilaça. Its style shows influences from French and German Baroque and Rococo.

Temple integrated in a convent, founded in 1524. In 1564, the church underwent renovation and expansion works and a century later it was rebuilt because it was in ruins. During the 18th century, it underwent numerous renovations, such as: application of gilded carvings in the chancel's altarpiece, placement of side altarpieces in the cross arch, covering the chancel with historian tiles from the workshop of Vital Rifarto, stalls in the choir high, building and covering the gilded carving and screens of the sacristy and construction of the cloister. Built in 1722, the crucifix was put inside the chapel in 1732. In the XVIII the panels and lateral altars were covered in golden woodcarving and the small bell was placed. In the XIX century it suffered several repairs and, in the XX century, preservation and valorization works were made. The chapel, with characteristics of joanino (King John of Portugal time) baroque, is a polygonal chapel. Although it has an erudite outline, this exemplar shows the participation of regional masters. The covering in woodcarving and the two oil paintings from the master André Gonçalves stand out.

Building of great architectural value, whose Church dates back to the beginning of the second half of the 16th century. It consists of three naves and four sections. The chancel, pombalina, decorating is covered by a false dome and another highlight, the holy water and sinks both late-Baroque side altarpieces. The niche also late-Baroque, the sink and the tile Ashlar are worthy of appreciation. The party functioned as hospital is perpendicular to the Church, has two floors and date from the first half of the 18th century and today operates as a Museum of contemporary art.
