Hidden from the city of Horta by Monte Queimado, Porto Pim Beach has soft, black sand, very typical of these volcanic islands. The bay of Porto Pim is, without a doubt, a place of rare beauty. Monte da Guia and the aforementioned Monte Queimado constitute natural barriers to the entry of sea water, making these waters calm and deep blue. Its green spaces and fortification, make that bathers consider it the best beach on the island.
With an extensive sandy beach flanked by high cliffs, it is a calm beach, despite its proximity to the city. In winter, a thick layer of clay accumulates at the base of the cliff, which the locals say has medicinal properties.
A pebble beach located in the center of Ribeira Brava, with good conditions for swimming and sunbathing. It also has a sand field for football and another for volleyball, and two swimming pools.
