Since Elvas was a military city, its history, from its earliest days to the present day, could not be overlooked. Since 2001, over a hundred military artifacts have been permanently exhibited here, along with several videos depicting significant episodes in Portuguese history.

Mannerist architecture and rococo church with nave and chancel and sacristy located near the front left side. Features interior with coro-alto, existence of pulpit, coverage in fake wooden barrel vault, painted laterally with quadraturas and the twelve apostles, late-Baroque, neoclassical and Epistle side altarpiece of the main Rococo altarpiece and Gospel.

Of existence already referenced from 1105, this church was completely remodeled in the 13th century, on the initiative of d. Mafalda, daughter of Sancho I, acquiring Romanesque moth. In 1668 proceeded to the original ship's demolition to make way for another broader and therefore the only Romanesque elements remaining today are the headboard and the respective transept. Abroad, the frieze of geometric motifs recalls the decoration of the Visigothic, Mozarabic and times while in interior decoration shows the Baroque style. Beside the Bell Tower added in 1820, is a sarcophagus. It was declared a national monument in September 29, 1977.

Statue erected in tribute to the dead in World War I, a soldier wielding a rifle and, on top, a woman holding a sword. It lies in the Centre of a small roundabout, surrounded by a garden with flowers.

Although the history of ecclesial space point to a medieval Foundation dating back to the 12th century, the Church of Cárquere is structurally a fusion of styles that reveal crucial periods in their development as the monastic space, now linked to the Canons, now to the Jesuits. According to legend, it was founded due to the miracle, attributed to our Lady of Cárquere at the request of Bishop Egas Moniz de Ribadouro, of healing of the legs of Dom Afonso Henriques.

Space located in an old House by the river. On the upper floor works the bar\/tea house and a space where we sell retro clothing. Downstairs there is a store called preconceived notions, where you can buy clothing, accessories and bicycles cruiser, chopper and lowrider, a Hairdresser and a make-up workshop.

Of the old church, which was destroyed during the 1755 earthquake, only this bell tower remains, restored in 1766, and which can now be seen, isolated, in the town's cemetery.

This auditorium stages several shows and some performing arts. In the main lobby, paintings by several artists are exhibited for sale.
