It looks like an ancient relic, but this is not true. This rococo style column is no more than an imitation of an old pillory placed there in 1945, as a decorative item, due to the works done in the Terreiro da Sé.

Monte da Senhora da Graça is distinguished from other elevations of the Alvão/Marão mountain set by its steepness (known for the famous finishes of the Volta a Portugal by Bicycle) and because it is an elevation isolated from the others, clearly visible from the center of Mondim of Basto. It has great views from 940 meters above sea level, a sanctuary and a restaurant.

This fajã was, according to historians, the first inhabited the island, the place where the caravels of the Infante Dom Henrique landed for the first time. Its coming, in fact, one of its first settlers. It is a platform located next to the sea, where are small beaches of black sand. Results from the run-off of lavas and the subsidence of the cliffs.

A farm located right in the Natural Park of the Alentejo's Southwest and the Vicentine Coast. Just a few metres away from the fantastic Ilha do Pesseguiro (Peach Tree Island). This place has apartments quite near the horse riding school. The lake was tranformed into a natural swimming pool and there are daily horse rides on the beach.

The typical crockery of the municipality of Lagoa originally comes from Vila Nova de Gaia and was introduced to the islands in 1862 by Bernardino da Silva. Nowadays, in the museum nucleus, some of the main pieces produced are on display. The typical blue color remains evident in all the pieces, still produced today using the artisanal method.

The ants consist of eight islets, located about 37 km from the coast of the island of Santa Maria. Is classified as a nature reserve due to the diversity and richness of its underwater fauna. It is also known for being a place of retreat and nesting seabirds, as well as for being a place of reproduction and feeding of sharks, turtles and several cetaceans.
