It consists of two rectangular Hispano-Roman tombs excavated in the granite outcrop itself, of anthropomorphic typology, relatively prominent in the landscape and next to ancient paths.

This path is not continuous to the pavement. It is believed that it was built on the Roman period and paved in the Middle Age. It is composed by irregular granite blocks which lay in parallels strings.

A beach with rather difficult accesses. The best path is by the road that leads to the Ponta da Piedade lighthouse. Located at the bottom of a cliff it is usually attended by naturists.

Located in a valley adjacent to the Serra dos Candeeiros, it is bathed by a stream that originates in the picturesque site of Olhos de Água. Here, you'll find beautiful natural caves and rooms with stalactites, calcite crystals, and remains of bones. Among the architectural heritage, a megalithic dolmen (Property of Public Interest) attached to the church stands out, containing a fifteenth-century sculpture, and traces of Roman times, evident in the ruins of a communal oven.

Resulting from the recovery of the former Bullring Simão da Veiga Jr. was born, now named Round Coliseum features an avant-garde architecture, hosting several types of spectacles.

Located on the Antas area, this hotel underwent renovations in 2010, featuring more modern and sophisticated spaces now. It has 41 rooms and three meeting rooms with capacity for 70 people.

The hermitage with the same name was built on a rock, now a belvedere with amazing sea views. Very near, one finds the ruins of the roman dam of Ponte dos Mouros (The Moors Bridge).

It is a fortified settlement located on a small hill where there are cultivated land now abandoned. You can still observe remains of walls of interpretation difficult. It is also referred to as Castro Head.

Built during D. João IV’s reign to defend the fishing centre of Burgau, this fort is now in a bad state of ruins. Traces of the original defensive walls can still be seen.

Construction dated from the end of the XVII century, being at that time the Santa Casa da Misericórdia and its Hospital. It was later the Medical School of Funchal and is now the Regional Government Palace.
