The municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães maintains many aspects of cultural and natural interest that continue to justify a visit, but without a doubt the fact that part of its region is classified as a World Heritage Site - the Alto Douro Wine Region, gives special emphasis to these landscapes. The Douro Route, passing by some of the most important monuments in the municipality (Fountain of Sereias, Pillory, Main Church, Selores House, etc.), through breathtaking landscapes, with the support of high quality gastronomy and wines, represents one of the municipality's ex-libris worthing a visit to appreciate these "pure beauties".

Built in the 18th century, this house is considered one of the finest examples of Baroque civil architecture. Constructed of granite, it features Rococo decoration concentrated in the windows and main door. This construction demonstrates elements of Douro Baroque architecture, influenced by Nicolau Nasoni. In the early 19th century, Napoleonic troops were stationed here, later setting fire to the building in 1810 before withdrawing. From 1895 onwards, it underwent partial reconstruction, initiated by the 3rd Viscount of Banho.

A house with a rectangular plan and two floors, construction attributed to the House of Bragança. The "Paços do Concelho", the Courthouse and the Municipal Administration were located here until the beginning of the 20th century. Later it had other functions, namely Jailhouse of the parish on the first floor that still has windows with iron bars. On the south façade, one can view two lateral flights of stairs that unite before the second floor with an entrance topped by the House of Bragança's coat of arms.

This is one of the two megalithic monuments located along the road that connects Montalegre to the border, about 400 meters before the last crossing for a planed Sendim tea. The tumulus 1 Crane well, located just 50 metres from the second, is a monument with "tumuli", with about twenty meters in diameter and more than 1.5 metres high. Features a central depression where you can see just a mainstay and there is no trace of lytic Cuirass. Is covered by small Oaks.

The Santo Estevão de Vilela Monastery is composed of a church and of the monastery's house. It was built even before Portugal's foundation. By the church there is the old monatery's building, composed of three aisles with a square shape. There is a coat of arms on the main entrance that stands on a lintel in a segmetal arch that ends in a partial triangular shape. In the third aisle, a special note to the manuelin chimney. Inside the temple, the high altar is golden carved. The monastery is being restored and the space will be converted into a museum …

It is believed that this castle was built before the establishment of the nation, during the reign of Alfonso IX of León. Later, King Dinis recovered much of that region, ordering restoration and expansion works on its fortresses. King Manuel I granted a new charter to the town, leading to further restoration works. Currently, two square towers remain, one of the entrance gates bearing the royal crown and the coat of arms of King Manuel. Nothing remains of the wall that surrounded the town.

Set of antas where stands out the Dolmen of Fontão or Carvalhal da Dishes, with trunk-shaped Chamber of the pyramid consists of nine pillars, forming the contiguous mainstays a species of wedges. Features a Greek cross and a cross there lanceolate, vestiges of the TUMULUS. The House of the Chaveiral turn out only if conserves tumulus and a granite fragment On the tape House da Coutada only subsists the TUMULUS.

It is worth visiting the historic center of this beautiful city, recognized by UNESCO in 1983 as a World Heritage City. With Renaissance features, it has magnificent monuments open to the public which, together with its natural beauty and historical interest, make this an unforgettable place.

Located on the right bank of the Zêzere river. During the summer, many immigrants come to this village. Do visit the Mother Church and its high altar, the Chapel of Saint Miguel, the Hermitage of Our Lady of Fátima, the Crucifiz, the old houses and the belvedere.

A small village with a variety of mazes, with yards and alleys. The houses are mostly built in granite. The most recent areas around the old part are different. At about 800 metres, the waterfall "Poço Negro" (Black Well), on the Teixeira river, is worth a visit.
