Space opened in 1979, at the time located at Palácio dos Anjos. The new building was opened in 2006. In addition to receive events of cultural and recreational character, this Center promotes several activities for the youngsters.

At the Portela of the former, located north of the village of Penedones, there are three shallow granite outcrops, where they identify sets of anthropomorphic graves, his head perfectly defined and narrow for my feet. To visit the Fojo das Pombas (the Doves' Fojo), one must follow a pedestrian trail of about 300 metres, from the palozoic Park.
