Located in the parish of Moita, this dam is also a recreational area, featuring a picnic park.

It is located between the municipalities of Ovar and Espinho, and is also known as Barrinha de Esmoriz. It is a medium-sized coastal lagoon, rare to find along the northern coast of Portugal. It constitutes an area of ​​ecological, scenic and recreational interest, possessing great ornithological and plant diversity.

Founded in 1485 by Queen Leonor, the Caldas da Rainha Thermal Hospital is the oldest in the world, with five centuries of existence. Over the years, the Thermal Hospital has evolved in terms of the differentiation of its treatments. These medicinal waters are used to treat respiratory, rheumatic, and musculoskeletal diseases.

Dam located in an area of ​​cork oak and holm oak woodlands, on the Ribeira do Divor, in the Tagus Basin. Carp, largemouth bass, and perch are the most common fish species. Sports and leisure activities are restricted.

The waters of Caldas da Cavaca were already being used free of charge by local inhabitants for treatments in dug wells. Located within the Serra do Açor Protected Landscape Area, near the village of Benfeita, Fraga da Pena is a kind of miniature replica of Poço do Inferno in the Serra da Estrela mountain range. As the waters of the Barroca das Degrainhas stream flow towards the Ribeira da Mata stream, they encounter a drop of more than 20 meters, forming a waterfall and, below, a small lagoon. The rock formation is entirely covered in moss and surrounded by vegetation. The temperature there, even in summer, is extraordinarily low.

These thermal baths are located in the heart of the Peneda-Gerês National Park, an area of ​​extreme beauty with breathtaking lakes and mountains. Already known to the Romans, their exploitation resumed during the reign of King John V. In 1897, the original baths were demolished to make way for new buildings and water catchment. The waters are especially recommended for the treatment of liver and gallbladder problems, obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure. They also offer programs for dietary re-education, weight loss, physical and psychological relaxation, physical recovery, and stress relief.

The parish of Vilar da Veiga, located within the Peneda-Gerês National Park (southernmost slope of Gerês), is extremely rich in natural resources (viewpoints, rock formations, and waterfalls). Situated in Leonte, at an altitude of 872 meters, this waterfall cascades from a great height, forming a beautiful waterfall during the winter and spring.
