The Islamic Art Center opened in 2001 and represents the culmination of many years of work not only in archaeological interventions but also in the treatment and study of materials from the Islamic period. The collection, dating from the 9th to 13th centuries, comprises architectural elements, funerary epigraphy, ceramics, metals (copper and copper alloys, iron, and lead), worked bone (including artifacts directly related to weaving and glass objects).

Opened in 2006, this museum aims to promote and publicize the region's famous cheese, as well as the shepherds/farmers. Here you can learn about the area dedicated to the artisanal production of this renowned product, as well as find information about the Cheese Route. If you wish, the museum also organizes visits to an artisanal cheese factory and allows participation in the sowing/planting of crops, according to the agricultural calendar.

The Sanctuary of São Bento das Pêras, located atop the hill of the same name, at an altitude of 410 meters, is a pilgrimage site for thousands of believers. The religious festival honoring this patron saint of Vizela takes place on July 11th, with a procession and an open-air mass. It is a pleasant gathering place for the masses. Some also visit the site simply to enjoy the magnificent panoramic views of the Vizela River valley.

The permanent exhibition "the Labor of the construction site" develops along a route which follows the stages of intervention on the stone for the production of stonework. Are the older and traditional utensils used by stonemasons in the course of successive operations and also the innovations that have been, leading to its abandonment and replacement by machinery. The images presented in this course documenting practices and techniques that lead to production of stonework and realize the fundamental traits of the evolution of activity in Portugal petraea. Located in one of the most famous streets of town, in the heart of the Historic Center of Ponte de Lima, this brewery with a relaxed atmosphere has its own personality due to the collection of international and national icons that occupy the space, such as Che Guevara or the Portuguese musician Zeca Afonso. On party nights, the entire street becomes a kind of open-air disco, where bars serve drinks and music comes from everywhere.

Opened in December, 19th, 1941, the Coliseu is the biggest playhouse in the north region of the country, with 3000 seats. It has been welcoming great show names, from Bob Dylan, Caetano Veloso, Amália Rodrigues, to the big orchestras, such as the Munich Band, Paris Band and to the great opera singers such as José Carreras and Monserrat. It presents several cultural events, from which we point out the musical and dancing shows.

Opened in 1962, the Pousada de Valença do Minho, of São Teotónio, stands on the highest point of the historic centre of Valencia, with privileged view of Spain. Both the 18 rooms and common areas are decorated in a classic and welcoming, especially the large fireplaces in the living room. On mild days, enjoy the terraces, which invite to look at the horizon. At the restaurant, taste the broth, roast kid or the lamprey, in a letter to bet on regional gastronomy.

The botanical garden O Chão das Artes is located in the surroundings of Casa da Cerca, one of the main cultural centers in Almada. When walking through the outcropped garden, it is possible to enjoy the magnificent views that the various viewpoints provide. In addition to the themed gardens - Pomar das Gomas, Jardim das Telas or Jardim dos Pintores - there is also a Greenhouse, which frequently hosts exhibitions, and an open-air amphitheater.

In this garden, besides trees and bushes, there’s an archaeological nucleus where one may see part of the primitive pillory of Funchal (beginning of the XVI century), tombstones and an ancient coat of arms of the city. One of the main attractions pf this garden is the collection of exotic orchids. In the centre there are also two Manueline windows from the XVI century. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10h to 12h30 and from 14h to 18h.

Only a few small parts remain of the 17th-century Paço dos Cunhas. This pioneering construction had a decisive influence on 18th-century Portuguese Baroque mansions. Casa do Soito, an elegant 18th-century mansion, was modeled after the Paço dos Cunhas, with a façade filled with curved, framed openings and a central arched cornice. The garden is a highlight, with statues, flowerbeds, balustrades, and benches covered in Baroque tiles.
