A buttress dam, located on the Douro International, where the river begins its deep descent into the Plateau. Vessel access to the water is quite difficult. The most common species are barbel and bream. Recreational activities are permitted, with restrictions.

A village located on the foothills of the Sirigo mountain, that owes its name to the abundant aechaeoligical vestiges of the region, menhirs, dolmens and graves carved on the rocks. Mostly two megalithic monuments are worth a visit, the necropolis of Lareira de Cima and the menhir of the Valley of Maria Pais. The houses feature a regional architecture, with ornamented romanesque windows. A special note to the mother church and to the chapels of Saint Silvestre and of Saint Miguel as well.
