The Castelinho Leisure Park is the main leisure area in Vila Nova de Cerveira, it was remodeled in 2007 and has several activity suggestions. Characterized by a strong rural component, this set was once the centre of a playground area, in the town suburbs, organized in several farms, most of them long lost. Standing out there is a small house from the “pombalino” period, on the north top of the square, the asylum-school building “Viscondessa dos Olivais”, with more noble characteristics, and the Santa Mary church, with an initial 17th century sketch and profoundly altered after the earthquake.

Located in a valley adjacent to the Serra dos Candeeiros, it is bathed by a stream that originates in the picturesque site of Olhos de Água. Here, you'll find beautiful natural caves and rooms with stalactites, calcite crystals, and remains of bones. Among the architectural heritage, a megalithic dolmen (Property of Public Interest) attached to the church stands out, containing a fifteenth-century sculpture, and traces of Roman times, evident in the ruins of a communal oven.

Portuguese-Spanish village inserted in the protected area of the Montesinho Natural Park. It stands out for preserving ancestral customs, such as the community regime of property and land use, and for the unique dialect of its inhabitants. The houses, built in schist and with porch balconies, are beautiful examples of regional architecture. The village is "divided" into Rio de Onor de Baixo and Rio de Onor de Cima, which coexist between Portugal and Spain.

Opened in December, 19th, 1941, the Coliseu is the biggest playhouse in the north region of the country, with 3000 seats. It has been welcoming great show names, from Bob Dylan, Caetano Veloso, Amália Rodrigues, to the big orchestras, such as the Munich Band, Paris Band and to the great opera singers such as José Carreras and Monserrat. It presents several cultural events, from which we point out the musical and dancing shows.

High quality Hotel located near the mouth of hell, in Cascais. The complex arose from the conversion of the old residences of King Humberto II of Italy and of the family Pinto Basto. The decor was thought to detail, with elements in stone marble and Venetian mosaic, recreating a classic environment. The design was also strategically thought out, allowing you to contemplate the ocean from nearly all rooms, restaurants, terraces and swimming pools.

The garden located in the centre of the square was framed around the lake, inspired in the English romantic model. This space invites you for a walk to forget the city stress. Here stand out the famous centenary cedar of Buçaco, ex-libris of this place and two monuments paying homage to the journalist França Borges and the poet and historiographer Sousa Biterbo. You may also find here old news stands, an esplanade and a playground.

The restoration of the banks of the Cávado River has been carried out in sections, resulting in modern and very pleasant leisure areas. On an upper platform, there is the central square, a children's playground, a space for extreme sports (such as climbing, skateboarding, and rollerblading), a multisport facility, a multipurpose square, a stage for performances, and a bar. The Riverside Strip features a water mirror, prepared with a removable weir along the mill race wall and a granite embankment.

The bases of the defensive system were built between the 8th and 13th centuries, during Muslim rule. The primitive Moorish fortification later underwent improvement works after the Christian Reconquest, ordered by King Dom Dinis. Currently, you can still see some parts of the wall, the Arco da Misericórdia and a part of the Alcáçova that maintains its medieval characteristics. Inside the walls, the beautiful garden stands out.

Placed at the Palácio Pimenta, a manor dated from the early XVIII century; in this space you may see archaeological pieces, paintings, drawings, engravings and lapidary that illustrate the city of Lisbon, since the prehistoric period till nowadays. Among the works in exhibition the “O Fado”, by José Malhoa and a oil-painting of Dirk Stoop stand out. The earthquake of 1755 is here shown with images of devastation and reconstruction projects.
