The municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães maintains many aspects of cultural and natural interest that continue to justify a visit, but without a doubt the fact that part of its region is classified as a World Heritage Site - the Alto Douro Wine Region, gives special emphasis to these landscapes. This village was considered the most typical in the Ribatejo region, as it still preserves some of its traditional customs. It is located in the countryside, where cereal crops predominate and is bordered by olive groves. Here you can see the hermitage of São José, the Chapel of Espírito Santo with its Juncal faience jars, the Chapel of Santa Maria de Almonda, with an interesting architectural design, the parish church, some manor houses, courtyards and terraced houses. The typical campino and fisherman costumes are characteristic of this region. This area offers pleasant walks and offers conditions for canoeing.

Casa Mãe da Rota dos Vinhos is located in the heart of Vila de Palmela and its main objective is to promote wines from the Setúbal Peninsula/Costa Azul. It is an old cellar restored for this purpose that displays products, sells and offers wine tastings. Here you can taste the best of what this region has to offer: the fruity white wines, the young rosés, the full-bodied Castelão reds and the Moscatéis de Setúbal. In addition to wine, this house also offers regional cakes, honey, jams and cheese from Azeitão.
