This beautiful house is placed on a street known for its characteristic architectonic harmony. Here are represented the XVII, XVIII and XIX centuries, with a nice show of the Porto’s architectonic atmosphere. On this building, the façade covered with azulejos panels from the second half of the XVII century stands out. This azulejos (tiles), made in Lisbon, describe episodes of the Holy Mary’s life.

The parish of São Pedro da Afurada is known for its fishing traditions. In these fishermen’s quarters every year, on June, 29th, take place the festivities of its patron saint: São Pedro (Saint Peter). The bronze statue over a granite pedestal, located in the Vasco da Gama Street, is part of that spirit of adoration to the patron saint of the fishermen.

The church of Saint Anthony, or mother church of Estoril, was built in 1527 in a place where there was a hermitage dedicated to Saint Roque. This church went through several calamities, including the earthquake in 1755 and a big fire in 1927 but it was immediately recovered in both times. A special note to the baroque fronton and, inside, the tile panels with motives of the life and miracles of Saint Anthony.

Built at the end of the XVII century, on the place where a chapel devoted to Santo António used to be, the Congregados church has a sober façade decorated, in the XX century, with azulejos (tiles) by Jorge Colaço. At the walls you can see mural paintings by Acácio Lino, representing scenes from Santo António life, work done in 1927.

A fortified Iron Age settlement, called a castro, located in a place with good visibility and defensive conditions. These are residential, service, and defensive structures built by societies with agro-pastoral characteristics, but also economically dependent on the exploitation of natural resources. It consists of two defensive lines surrounding the inhabited area and a third, just to the west, with a less steep slope.

Medieval settlement linked to Padornelos, located in the vicinity of Sendim, designated location for Santa Cruz. Currently, among the farm fields, are half-tile fragments and abundant rocks fond. The cruise ship that struck the site retains only the column. It is known only that during the reign of Dom Sancho I, between 1185 and 1211, the place was already inhabited.

This Palace is located in the well-known Tapada Real, immense space that remains a hunting park and place of great architectural estate. The Palace is connected to a small walled area which, in turn, leads to a patio, which you access by a staircase. Its facade is white-washed and sustains a shot in blue. To engage the iron gate is framed by white marble.

The stone is writing a monolithic granite which features a geometric prints of the faces as well as simple circles and concentric with central dimple, and lattices formed by extensive horizontal and vertical lines. A question that probably has a symbolic significance-religious. The location of this place is not well signposted, access is possible only by dirt road through vehicles off-road.

Granite bridge, built in the 17th century, by David Álvares, under which the waters of the River Coa go through. The name is due to the place where it flows, near Foz Coa, despite being formed in Foios, in Serra das Mesas and flowing into the Douro River. The bridge has 3 arches and connects the 2 banks of the river.

The campsite Costa of the Vizier, situated about 500 metres from the Praia Grande and Porto Covo, offers two areas for camping tents and caravans, as well as apartments for rent. This is definitely a great place for all beach lovers, nature and nautical activities such as sport fishing. The main points of interest are the Museum and Castle of Sines, among other attractions.
