In this museum you can admire works of painting, such as the Nossa Senhora da Conceição and Rainha Santa Isabel oil paintings by Vieira Portuense and dated from 1799, as well as sculpture, jewellery and furniture works. Under the church’s pavement there is also a catacomb cemetery built in 1795.

The Teatro Regional da Serra do Montemuro (Regional Theater) was founded in 1990, the result of a meeting of local, national, and international artists, in the small village of Campo Benfeito, high in the Serra do Montemuro.
