A pedestrian trail that belongs to the Municipal Pedestrian Trails Network of Paredes de Coura. It is 12 km long, has signals, and crosses the parishes of Formariz, Infesta and Moselos. You will visit and get acquainted with fine examples of cultural and landscape heritage.

Located in Ponta dos Rosais lighthouse, in the extreme northwest of the island. From this point we can get beautiful views of the ocean, the island of Faial and Pico Island on the horizon. The set of this tip, of the islets and cliffs around is classified as a site of Community interest.

Route which starts descending towards the sea by a route that crosses the culture landscape of vineyards, a Unesco World Heritage site, until the Lajido. Here it is worth visiting the Museum and also observe the various geological formations existing in the site. The path continues then uphill, passing through the Furnace of Friars ending in the Church of Santa Luzia.

The area has been classified as a regional natural monument and protected landscape. It offers a privileged view of the sea, and this crater was formed as a result of small steam explosions caused by the contact of lava with seawater. There is also a spa and some natural pools at this site.
