Viewpoint located at the highest point of the Serra de Rates, at about 200 meters of altitude, where you can find traces of an Iron Age fort, the Chapel of São Félix and some windmills adapted for holiday homes. This entire area offers fantastic views over the sea, the city and the mountains.

A natural belvedere on the São Marcos Hill, with views opf several parishes, namely Tondela, since it is located on one of the hillsides of the Caramulo mountain. One may view the Estrela Mountain and a wide area of forests, namely of pine trees and eucaliptus trees. Closer by there are local chestnut trees and oak trees.

At the Faro Hill, one has the loveliest views of a wide part of the parish of Valença and of the neighbouring parishes, as well as of the Minho river. By the belvedere there are several chapels, one of which devoted to São Pedro de Rates, the medieval saint that protected the inhabitants from the plague. This elevation is quite visible to the east of Valença.

Muito apreciada em épocas festivas, nomeadamente no dia de São Bartolomeu, porque segunda a crença popular o "Diabo anda à solta". Há também quem o coma na Quaresma, para que "Cristo ainda tenha tempo de olhar para as horas".

The Eduardo Ferreira & Filhos liqueur factory, better known as "Mulher de Capote", produces the famous typical liqueurs of São Miguel. Passion fruit, pineapple, banana and lemon are some of the fruit liqueurs produced. You can also find passion fruit brandy, wine and cream and anise liqueurs.

Mantas de enfeite, utilizadas na decoração das camas. Existem seis variantes: fuzis e quadradinhos, olho-de-perdiz, barras "montanhac" (quadrados, riscas, amendoins e losangos). Estas variantes são feitas nas cores naturais de branco, castanho e beige.

The Main Church of São João da Pesqueira continues to preserve some medieval features, especially in the main portal with its pointed arch. Inside this temple, whose construction dates back to the 14th century, the baroque main altarpiece and the 17th century paneled covering of the nave ceiling stand out.

Inside the building, it is worthy to mention the Main Room, the dining room from the ends of the 18th century and painted in frescoes by Pillement. The Queen D. Carlota Joaquina was incarcerated here after refusing to swear loyalty to the 1822 Constitution. Presently it has the São José College belonging to the Portuguese Dominican Sisters.

The campsite of São Torpes, located in Sines, on the Costa Vicentina, benefits from the fact of having direct access to the beach, revealing himself a coveted destination for vacationers. In addition it offers green spaces and trees, where you can relax in tranquility and camping outdoors or, if you prefer, stay in comfortable bungalows.

With the name of the same tourist resort and as it is not a very big beach, Praia de São Rafael becomes a quiet space. Given the physiognomy of the rocks, some are sheltered from the wind. The sea is good for bathing. The rock formations are known as Ponte Pequena (Small Bridge) and Ninho das Andorinhas (Swallows Nest).
