This agrotourism Unit results from harmonious recovery of ancient buildings dedicated to Douro wine, being one of the buildings an ancient Manor House. Quinta de Fiães offers several activities related to wine and olive cultivation cycles, and with local gastronomic traditions-such as the Smokehouse and the making of preserves, among other related nature tourism, active tourism and cultural tourism. Quinta de Fiães has four houses with different typologies, from T1 to T4, all with maximum comfort and cosy decoration, among the contemporary requirements and the preservation of traces of other times.

It is believed that this place has been inhabited since prehistoric times, as indicated by numerous findings. The first fortification would date from the reign of Dom Afonso III, although the most likely date is from the 15th century.
