A village situated in a scenic area, it boasts rustic granite houses scattered along irregular, winding streets. The population is dedicated to subsistence farming, which is predominant in the area. Cattle, chestnuts, and other agricultural products are the main source of local income. Located on a granite outcrop in the Aguiar Valley, there is a rock castle dating back to the 9th century. This museum is located in the Gorjão Palace, a former Coimbra manor house dating back to the 17th century. The museum regularly presents temporary exhibitions of sculpture, painting, drawing, and tapestry, among other works. It also features thematic exhibitions: Remembering April, Cultivating Freedom, and Bombarral Ceramics. The museum also has a library with specialized works on archaeology, history, ethnography, and art history, and a Historical Archive with documentation on Bombarral's recent history and collections of old newspapers.

The Fundação Maria Isabel Guerra Junqueiro and Luís Pinto de Mesquita Carvalho, placed in front of the Museum-House with the same name, is a private foundation without lucrative ends, which includes a large bibliographic heap of Guerra Junqueiro, her daughter and son-in-law. The palace, dated from the XVII century, where this foundation is placed, is open to visit the permanent exhibition or any other events happening there, always regarding the life and work of the Portuguese writer.

Housed in the 16th-century Convent of Mosteirinho, the museum features a collection of 2,200 pocket, wrist, and parlor watches displayed in ten exhibition rooms. The permanent exhibition is titled "400 Years of Watchmaking in Portugal," featuring 1,800 pieces, all mechanical, dating from the 17th century onward. One of the exhibition rooms is dedicated to Portuguese clocks, which host temporary exhibitions. The museum offers visitors a library with approximately 600 thematic books, a shop, and a garden.

Located in the Centre of Castelo Vide, the Yellow House is a small solar, whose construction dates back to the 17th century and is classified as a Building of public interest. Near the House you can also visit the Chiesa Madre (mother church) of Santa Maria da Devesa, one of the largest religious temples of the Alto Alentejo.

The Capelinhos lighthouse was completed in 1903, after works that took over nine years. Its primary function was maintained until 1957, when it was the eruption of the volcano. From that date was in ruins. Consists of a rectangular body of two floors (one of which buried) and a central octagonal tower. Their retraining and integration into the interpretation centre of Capelinhos volcano allows, nowadays, the ascent to its central tower from where you have a unique view on the rugged volcanic landscape.
