The cellar of the Leaving, venerated by many vimaranenses, genuine dishes of typical regional cuisine, such as Fireworks or COD stuffed. Dona Augusta, owner of the establishment, give a unique atmosphere to the home with his sympathy and the usual comments and helpful to customers.

Rustic and cosy restaurant, all in stone and wood, to serve quality vegetarian cuisine and with very good presentation. Some of his specialties are feijoada of seitan and the Eggplant parm. With piped music, customers become friends and feel at home.

A walk along Cerva is much more than just viewing the small town that was once the parishe's siege (charter from 1514). The river beach and the entire surrounding area are fit for walks along this region's blessed nature trails.

The Woods of the Boa Viagem Hill are the larges forest reservation by the town of Figueira da Foz. With an area of 400 hectares, it is a lovely natural and landscape example, with seeveral leisure areas for its visitors. There is a picnic area with much shade and a playground.

From here you can discover the historic center, take a cruise on the Douro River or visit the port wine cellars, on the other side.

Located in the historic area of ​​the village of Celorico da Beira, very close to the castle, stands this Cathedral of Serra da Estrela Cheese. The magnificent 17th-century building is worth a visit in itself. Dedicated to preserving the tradition of Serra da Estrela cheese, it is also part of the Farmer and Cheese Museum. Here you can buy and taste the famous cheese, as well as other regional delicacies such as black pudding, chorizo, ham, rye bread, honey, jams and wine.

Space Museum opened in 2002, with three storeys and four exhibition halls, where displays the earliest artistic traditions and Portuguese bread. The space is divided in Bread cycle Room, Room of political, Social and religious Bread, Bread art Room and Pedagogical Room. There is also a restaurant where the King is, as expected, the bread. Be sure to visit the old grocery store, where they acquire various kinds of bread here produced. Tertulias and temporary exhibitions are frequent activities of the Museum.
