Historical reference and emblematic element of the city, it was built at the end of the 16th century as part of the defense system of the Mondego mouth. Among the specialties include: Squid kebabs with prawns, roast cod to Pearl II, cozido à Portuguesa (Thursdays and Sundays), roast lamb (Sundays) and thick rump steak (with cream sauce and lemon). Molotov with lemon juice is the suggestion for dessert.
