The Freires de Andrade house is placed between the end of the XVII century and the beginning of the XVIII century. It has two floors and it possesses the Coat of Arms from different families such as the Coutinhos, Pereiras, Andrades and Banderias. The house garden, Santa Clara wall and further to the south, Serra do Pilar can be seen through the back house.

Dated from the beginning of the century, this art nouveau building (single exemplar of this style in Vila Nova de Gaia) presents an original architecture of carved granite, with a glazed tiles decor, railings, stuccos and glass. It has three floors (one of them a basement), being completed with a garden that includes a greenhouse, a small lake, grottos and a turret.

This set of steps, or stations of the religious life, were originally seven when they were built in 1727. However, they were later transferred or removed, leaving only five: Step from Largo do Carmo, Rua de Santa Maria step, Step Largo João Franco, Step of the Senhora da Guia and Step the fair field.

Building with three floors, Art Nouveau style and bourgeois character, with the ground floor destined to trade and the upper floors housing. Has Art Nouveau decorative elements in monochrome tiles (blue and white), depicting the city, representing the Mouchão wheel side and Casa Vieira de Guimarães and a center panel with the representation of the symbol of the order of Christ.

There were four gates of the city, some have already destroyed, but keeping the names of antiquity. It's still the portas de Santo António, located to the Northeast, today enters the city. The Wicket is a small Gothic door, situated to the East, checking in only the pawns. To the Southwest is the fence gate, in good condition and to the North are the doors of Nossa Senhora do Amparo.

Os doces de Proença-a-Nova são muito inspirados no mel, muito abundante nesta região. A par da premiada tigelada este bolo é um dos doces mais típicos das terras beirãs, tendo um sabor especial fruto da mistura entre o azeite e o mel.

Esta fábrica mostra como a pessoa deficiente pode ser parte integrante da sociedade ativa. Aqui fazem-se trabalhos manuais, como porta-chaves, bolsas, carteiras, entre outros objetos. É constituído por uma equipa de 35 pessoas com deficiências auditivas, visuais, motoras e mentais.

A sopa azeda era preparada normalmente em dias de festa e a receita varia consoante a ilha onde é confecionada. Prato rico em especiarias como a canela, tradição que remonta ao século XV, desde a época em que as naus vindas da Índia aportavam aos Açores.

O funcho é um legume que tanto pode ser utilizado como planta aromatizante ou ingrediente em sopas, como a receita aqui apresentada. É uma planta cultivada desde a antiguidade, sendo muito utilizada pelo povo grego, relembrando mesmo o sabor do licor de anis.

A receita desta tigelada terá tido origem nos conventos da Esperança ou da Graça, em Abrantes. É tradicionalmente cozida no forno, em tigelas de barro não vidrado, e é um dos famosos doces que se pode saborear na cidade, a par da conceituada Palha.
