In July 2006, born the Instituto do Vinho, do Bordado e do Artesanato da Madeira, I.P. (IVBAM), which includes the Instituto do Vinho da Madeira (IVM) and the Instituto do Bordado, Tapeçarias e Artesanato da Madeira (IBTAM). This entity is responsible for the promotion and dissemination of these regional products and the issuer of the certificate of quality for Embroidery and Madeira wine. This institute brings together Madeira embroidery dating from the XIX-XX centuries, costumes and other props, showing the execution process of Madeira embroidery and its history.

Of existence already referenced from 1105, this church was completely remodeled in the 13th century, on the initiative of d. Mafalda, daughter of Sancho I, acquiring Romanesque moth. In 1668 proceeded to the original ship's demolition to make way for another broader and therefore the only Romanesque elements remaining today are the headboard and the respective transept. Abroad, the frieze of geometric motifs recalls the decoration of the Visigothic, Mozarabic and times while in interior decoration shows the Baroque style. Of modest proportions, this temple has a single nave and a rectangular chancel, highlighting the main portal which, made up of four archivolts with a round arch decorated with geometric and vegetal motifs, frames a tympanum filled with the typical hollow cross of the bracarense tradition.
