Of this set of 18th-century curtain walls and bastions, the bastions of the main church and Santo Antônio church, the Graça wall, and the Clock Tower stand out. The rectangular tower features a small terrace where the bell tower rests. Above the arch of the gate, which once defended the town, is an image of Our Lady of the Conception.

The Clock Tower is a medieval monument that once formed part of the town's defensive wall. Along with the Town Hall and Misericórdia buildings, both dating back to the 16th century, the tower forms an important architectural complex.

At low tide, the Minho River practically disappears, revealing the hulls of fishing boats. At high tide, the river reflects the verdant Spanish side in its waters. Those driving along the EN13 can appreciate the scenery, but only on foot can you truly experience the immersive landscape.

The Chafariz do Terreiro (1517) in the center, the Town Hall (16th century), and the Clock Tower (a medieval monument from the town's former defensive wall) are the calling cards of this historic town. A rectangular Baroque palace with a residential wing and a chapel integrated into the façade. It was commissioned by Captain João Ferreira da Cruz in the 18th century. Initially used as a residence, it was later converted into a shirt factory. Currently, it serves as a residence once again.
