A matança do porco na Guarda é já uma velha tradição, sendo ainda hoje um dia especial para as famílias envolvidas. Os farinheiros é uma das iguarias mais famosas entre as receitas de enchidos da região, juntamente com as chouriças e as morcelas.

A molha é um dos pratos de carne mais apreciados no Pico e no Faial, onde é mais usual durante as festas natalícias. A sua composição consiste em carne de porco que, depois de temperada, é frita em banha num tacho de barro.

Este prato tradicional costuma ser confecionado na comemoração do padroeiro de Oliveira de Azeméis, São Miguel, no mês de setembro. Foi inclusive criada em setembro de 2006 a Confraria das Papas de São Miguel para proteger e divulgar esta tradição.

O Pavilhão Sala Thai foi colocado em Belém no âmbito das comemorações dos 500 anos de relações diplomáticas entre o a Tailândia e Portugal. Foi construído em Banguecoque e transportado de barco até ao jardim Vasco da Gama, em Belém.

Located by the river Tagus, in the western area of Lisbon, the National Coach Museum occupies the premises formerly belonging to the Oficinas Gerais do Exército (old General Military Workshops). The Royal Riding School, which used to belong to the Royal Palace of Belém, can still be visited as an exhibition nucleus of the National Coach Museum.

The current building of the cottage, was used by the military of the army that between the period of 1910 to 1942 they settled on Tapada do Arneiro turning this building in the officers ' Mess. Already in 1996 the building was enlarged and remodeled in order to serve the State Protocol. The Alter Real Foundation decides to open the building to the public as country house in October 2011.

Chapel of popular architecture, being modest and with thick masonry plastered. It is prized by two portals carved in white marble and protruding rope type door jambs. It is a set of sections of the old 14th century wall, where some sections near the Porta do Soar de Cima and the Porta de Cavaleiros stand out, the only remaining ones of the seven primitive gates. These doors have profile arches pointed on the outside and lowered on the soffit and a niche with the image of the tutelary saint.

The Praça do Comércio owes its name to the intense commercial activity that it used to have, before the opening of the D. Pedro V Market. At the square ends are the São Tiago Church, Romanic style, and the São Bartolomeu, from the baroque period. Also worthy of notice are the pillory and the XVII and XVIII centuries buildings around.
