Medieval fortress rebuilt in the 19th century, during the French invasions. It was part of the Linhas Torres, being one of its most important fortifications. It is made up of three asymmetrical bulwarks, whose walls are open to cannons, divided by deep moats, which are distributed in a Y shape. At the highest point of the fortress are the ruins of a primitive chapel.

Set of buildings divided into Low factory, built in the 18th century and in Up factory, built in the 19th century. Low factory is divided into several buildings, among which we highlight: the boiler of the Machines, the building of Galgas, the workshops and the hydroelectric plant. Currently, works here the Museum of black powder and still an Atlantic University polo.

Church built in the 20th century, of rectangular plan, with a tower at the Centre of the main façade. Presents some features of "art deco" and is plastered and painted white. On the right side of the bridge stands a tower. Both were built in the 12th century. It is the most complete and expressive example of a medieval bridge with a protection and toll tower.
