The Lenta river beach has a small sandy area, contrasting with the large surrounding leisure space. This verdant area, measuring around 30,000 square meters, has beautiful riparian forests that extend to the banks of the river. Located in the Parish of Lovelhe, next to INATEL, it has good access and good support infrastructure, such as a car park, picnic area, a bar and even a lifeguard. On the hottest days, go and sunbathe or take a dip on the banks of the Minho River.

The Convent of San Payo was founded by the Franciscan friar, Gonçalo Marinho, in 1932. After several adversities (the extinction of religious orders and a devastating fire), the convent was abandoned and fell into a state of complete degradation, with its assets disappearing, some looted and others transferred to chapels and churches in the municipality. In the 80s of the 20th century, the building was acquired by the sculptor José Rodrigues who, together with the architect Viana de Lima, completely restored it, taking care to preserve part of its original design.
