Located in the old warehouses of Taylor’s cellars, in the historic area of Gaia, WOW - World of Wine is an innovative cultural space that combines the world of wines with the region's history, gastronomy, cork and fashion. In the 55,000-square-meter block, which opened in 2020, there are six themed museums, nine restaurant spaces, a wine school, several shops and exhibition spaces.

The gardens of the Palace of Queluz are a result of the sinthesis of decorative elements inspired by the 18th century French baroque, which is only natural since the construction was ordered by Dom Pedro according to the model of the Palace of Versailles. Almost abandoned, the Palace of Queluz was restored in the 1930s for the 1940 Exposição do Mundo Português (Exhibition of the Portuguese World). Currently, one can still see the lakes of Neptune and Amphitritis, the sets of sculptures and a part of the big lake.

The construction of this church, devoted to the Holly Family, began in 1947. In following years were promoted fund-raising campaigns to repair works.

The Museu da Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto has a museological heritage consisting of collections of objects that testify to the experimental teaching and research developed by the institution since its inception. This museum, located at the Laboratório do Instituto Geológico e Mineiro (Laboratory of the Geology and Mining Institute), features one of the best and most complete national collections of the main Portuguese mines. A special note to the kaolin exploration of Senhora da Hora. It also shows archaeological findings that ilustrate the mining activities throughout the epochs in Portugal.

The well known São Roque Park is a large space, with lots of trees. You can take a walk, have a café or do a picnic at using the benches and tables you’ll find there. This Park used to be the former Quinta da Lameira and opened to the public in 1979, after being bought by the Town Hall. The park, with 18 hectares, is divided into art and nature. Organized in platforms, lanes, gardens, groves and tilled grounds, it is part of a 30ies’ house, which belonged to the Conde de Vizela (earl). The gardens are Art Deco.

Space resulting from the recovery of two 16th century farms with a total area of about 25 hectares, being the third largest green space in the capital. Here you can walk through paths where you'll see canals of water, a Lake, playgrounds, a small stage, exhibition area, a bar and a restaurant.

The project of an artificial tropical forest began in 1910. The Greenhouse opened in 1930 and has four spaces: three greenhouses and a walking area by the lake. It has vast tropical flora, with exotic species from the five continents. The decorative ambience has small grottos, statues, staircases and fountains. A very romantic place that deserves a visit.
