In this avenue, placed in the heart of Lisbon, the international trade marks have a privileged position. Here you will mostly find clothing and accessories stores, shoes stores and perfume stores. After going around the commercial establishments take a break and have a drink in one of the avenue esplanades or, if you prefer, enjoy the green spaces you have around.

Former place of seclusion and manors with trees planted in the XIX century, in the reign of Dona Maria. The present set, with lakes and sets of palm trees is from 1950 by Keil do Amaral. It has about one km of extension with various statues, sports equipments, playground, picnic area and a lake where you may rent small rowing boats.
