For some time, it was thought to be the ruins of the Church of Santa Maria of the village, the oldest parish church in the village. However, after archaeological surveys in 1983 and 1992\/1993, was concluded to be another building, maybe the previous jail or Paços do Concelho. Remains standing a block in mushroom-shaped masonry.
