The hunting and fishing Club in the parish of Bunker was founded on April 12, 1990. The Club offers two training camps, hunting a Roberto's farm and the other at quinta dos Barreiros, where Hunting is practised to Jump from June to March, as well as a field of clay-pigeon shooting, between May and September.

This foundation, that owes its name to the professor and surgeon Bissaya Barreto, relates to a wide rang of subjects, namely culture (House Museum Bissaya Barreto, Portugal dos Pequeninos and Gallery Joaquina Barreto Rosa), education (Superior Institute Bissaya Barreto), formation (Centre of Studies and Formation) and social assistance.

The Mercado do Peixe (Fish Market), as indicated by its name, is appreciated mostly for its fish variety. It is located by the ocean and it has a sea inspired decor. Besides the fish dishes, the pork tenderloin is one of its specialities. In the winter, the prices drop down enormously due to the natural difficulty in fishing.

The gastronomic panorama restaurant known for its centuries-old history and national art to cook this fish so tasty and quirky, inter alia, the eels: fries, fish stew or Chowder make this House a reference. The eels, always fresh and wild, do these typical dishes have a unique flavor and unmistakable.

The area features a stretch of Roman road, rural houses, and the chapel of Nossa Senhora do Tojeirinho as notable monuments. The region is rich in natural beauty, particularly the Lapas caves (only accessible with a guide). Black stone is quarried in this area for ornamentation and paving of squares and sidewalks. Rag dollwork is a prominent craft.
