The Guadiana area, north of Mértola, where the river narrows, and locals say you could cross from one bank to the other "in one leap." Wolves are also said to have frequently used this crossing. The "rapids," caused by the riverbanks compressing from 25 to 3 meters, are a key feature. Natural waterfalls are also common, the largest of which stands out at over 15 meters high. Access to the area is via a dirt road.

Puttanesca restaurant is an exquisite space with a decoration combining the rustic with the modern, where are posters and photographs of bullfights and films of the years 40, that create an environment of love taurine. The menu offers fusion dishes of Mediterranean and Spanish cuisine. The combination of these flavors is made with skill by the owner and chef Nuno Santos. Hands out tapas, dishes in the wood-burning oven and delicious desserts. The wine cellar is adequate to the gastronomic offer, with a very acceptable pricing policy.

The funicular railway connects the lower part of Nazaré to Sítio, covering a total of 318 meters. It was inaugurated in 1889, as the difficulty of access to Sítio always hampered the development of the area and the settlement of its inhabitants. In 1963, after a major accident, it was out of service for several years, returning to service in 1968. In the 21st century, the carriages were renovated for greater comfort and safety for the more than one million users who use this means of transport annually.

The Stupa Tashi Gomang, a temple belonging to the Guhya Mantrika Buddhist community, is located in the Santa Susana Retreat Center in Alcácer do Sal. It is one of the largest Buddhist temples in the Western world, standing 16 meters tall with an internal temple measuring 36 square meters, prepared for rituals, ceremonies, and lectures. Among the materials used in its construction, Alentejo marble stands out. The decoration, particularly the statues, originates from Tibet and Nepal.

The construction date of this temple is estimated to be 1262, judging by the inscription at the entrance, although it may correspond to the reconstruction of an old 11th-century hermitage which, in turn, was built on a 7th-century Suevi-Visigothic building – archaeological excavations carried out in 1991 revealed a structure belonging to a pre-Romanesque temple. Of particular note is the existence of an image of Our Lady of Meinedo, in limestone and with traces of polychromy, which constitutes one of the rare examples of Romanesque sculpture in Portugal.

Village with origins that go back to the D. Dinis Reign, when it was inhabited. Besides its interesting historical value, the Alentejo characteristics also stand out in its constructions, namely the white row of houses. As for the architectonical patrimony are worthy of notice the Alegrete castle, National Monument, the clock tower, the parish church of S. João Baptista, a construction from the XVI century, the bandstand, the ruins of the S. Pedro chapel and the Misericóridia chapel, dated from the XVII century.

The Ibis Lisboa Parque das Nações was opened in 2013 and is the first Ibis in Portugal with the new concept of public spaces, designed by the architect Philippe Avanzi. Lobbies, reception desks and bars were transformed into areas with a more modern design, warm and relaxed, more current. Interior decoration stands out by soft colours and comfort, also patent in 112 rooms. The Hotel also offers a bar service with light meals available 12:0 am.

In this beautiful large garden placed at the Foz do Douro, created at the end of the XIX century, the fountain and the two obelisks by Nasoni stand out. There is also a small lake with a sculpture in the centre representing a young lady with a seal, a sculpture in honour of the writer Raúl Brandão, a bandstand, and the public toilets, built in 1910, decorated with Art nouveau Azulejos (tile) and English china. At last, the place has a mini-golf pitch and a small cottage – esplanade called the Chalé Suíço.

Classified as a national monument, it is one of the ex-libris of the city and one of the most original examples of the Baroque style in Portugal, having been built at the behest of D. João de Mendonça, Bishop of Guarda, around 1720. It features five lakes on the main slope, where the water features stand out, while the intermediate one has the Lago das Coroas and the Stairs of the Apostles and Kings, where all the Portuguese monarchs are represented. On the upper deck is the Staircase of Moses.

Located in the Centre of Castelo Vide, the Yellow House is a small solar, whose construction dates back to the 17th century and is classified as a Building of public interest. Its main facade of yellow ochre stands out in the square d. Pedro V evading patterns of Castelo de Vide. Near the House you can also visit the Chiesa Madre (mother church) of Santa Maria da Devesa, one of the largest religious temples of the Alto Alentejo.
