A single-nave church preceded by a large galilee with a Mudejar-style finish, built in 1463 by the Duke of Beja (Infante D. Ferdinand) for the Xabregano friars. It was rebuilt during the reign of King Manuel. Notable are the recessed, coffered vaults of the galilee, chancel, cloister, and chapter house. Also note the unusual layout of the small cloister and the 17th-century tiles.

This military fortification existed since Roman times, but there is no record of its destruction or reconstruction. The current fortification of Serpa was built by King Dinis and consisted of a powerful castle and a double-towered wall. Significant sections of the wall remain, notably the one topped by a long aqueduct arcade, which extends to a monumental Moorish waterwheel. During the War of the Spanish Succession, the fortress suffered extensive damage. Of particular note are the Moura and Beja Gates and the imposing manor house of the Marquises of Ficalho.

A convent reflecting Manueline, Mannerist, and Baroque architecture. Its origins are Gothic, with notable highlights including the inscribed portal and triumphal arch. Baroque elements emerge in the decoration, especially in the ceiling painting.

The Guadiana area, north of Mértola, where the river narrows, and locals say you could cross from one bank to the other "in one leap." Wolves are also said to have frequently used this crossing. The "rapids," caused by the riverbanks compressing from 25 to 3 meters, are a key feature. Natural waterfalls are also common, the largest of which stands out at over 15 meters high. Access to the area is via a dirt road.

São Lourenço Bay, also known as the "Rising Sun" Bay, is a beautiful area surrounded by vineyards separated by meadows, with the blue sea as a backdrop. The lush green landscape and the blue ocean create a truly enchanting setting. The area covers approximately 113 hectares and has been designated a nature reserve since 1987. It is freely accessible to anyone who wishes to visit.

The North Coast is a protected landscape of regional interest, a vast expanse of green against a backdrop of blue skies. It also includes the Barreiro da Faneca area, known as the "Red Desert" for its undulating terrain formed by red clays.

This bay, classified as a Nature Reserve, boasts a unique and pleasant natural pool, flanked by cliffs that protect it from the wind. A spectacle of great natural beauty, the clear, calm waters, along with the surrounding volcanic rock formations, invite you to a relaxing day.

Lighthouse built in 1927, 114 meters above sea level, on Ponta do Castelo. It is a 14-meter-high quadrangular tower with several attached buildings.

Fort built in the 16th century on the site of Cimo da Rocha to defend the town during the Philippine reign. It consists of a small bastion and the Command House and Troop Barracks. Inside, there is the chapel of Our Lady of Conception and an obelisk in honor of Commander Carvalho Araújo.

Dating from the early 15TH century, this church is one of the oldest of the Azores. Currently, the primitive structure, only the Gothic side door and a roof in Manueline style in the chapel of Santa Catarina.
