Built in the 16th century, it underwent reconstruction in the 17th and 18th centuries. The main door displays the coat of arms of Dom João II. Inside, there is a former Convent of the Jerónimos Friars, founded in the 16th century, and a chapel built over the site where, according to tradition, Saint Vincent was buried.

Statue that pays homage to João de Deus. João de Deus was an eminent lyrical poet who, during his lifetime, was considered to be foremost amongst his peers. He was also the pioneer of a new teaching method that aimed to simplify teaching reading to children, the Cartilha Maternal. He was very popular during his lifetime and as such was laid to rest at the National Pantheon (Panteão Nacional). To this day he is still referred to as the poet of love.

Located on a rocky Islet in the river Tagus, a Templar Castle warrant lift by Gualdim Pais, in the 12th century. Previously, it is believed to have existed a castro lusitano, improved by the Romans. The walls are flanked by ten towers that surround the keep and which gave the set an important defensive capabilities. Inside, there are several monumental doors that make communication between the different parts of the Castle. The access is made by river in a small boat crossing, lasting about five minutes.

Bridge built in the second half of the 18th century by legacy of father João Soares Brandão and inserted in a bucolic rural environment and harmonious, over the river Coura. It is a horizontal Board and granitic construction ramp on the left bank, about three perfect round arches, a larger, along the left edge and two smaller. Distinguishes itself by presenting a few holes to facilitate water run-off into the river. During the second half of the 20th century has received restoration work that passed through the strengthening of joints and placing of asphalt.
